Higher Education Pathway (UK, EU, EEA students)
The higher education pathway is in partnership with the Open University, voted as one of the top 50 universities in the United Kingdom.
The online degrees are completed over a 3 year period and study time is implemented into the timetable at NEFA, with support from our education team. This flexible approach allows the study time to be structured around the football programme.
Since the OU’s launch in 1969, more than 2 million people worldwide have achieved their learning goals by studying with the OU and they are one of the largest universities in Europe with 174,898 students.

Learning Facilitation and Learner Support
For our degree programmes, NEFA’s participants will be assigned a tutor when they enrol on their first module, and they’ll usually have different tutors for each of the modules they study for their qualification. The OU has a network of more than 5,000 tutors – the largest in the UK.
Before the participant starts the tutor will contact them to welcome them and, help understand what study will be like. They’ll set expectations, such as deadlines for assignments, tutorials and other learning activities. They’ll also clarify how and when they can be contacted, and how quickly they will respond.
Once modules have started tutors mark and provide feedback on assignments and support progress through other learning activities.
Tutors will arrange online and face-to-face tutorials, some of which may be recorded for students to catch up with at a later date. They will also mark assignments and provide feedback, guide students to the right learning resources and provide individual guidance to further develop study skills.
