NEFA has a unique offering to both 16-18 year olds, via our Scholarship College Pathway, and for over 18s via our Higher Education Pathway.
Both routes give players the opportunity to train, develop and play full time football whilst also continuing with their education (with our educational partners). We have designed everything about NEFA to reflect being in a professional academy and to give you the opportunity to develop into the best possible player you can be.

Why NEFA?
We offer young people from 16 years of age the opportunity to train, develop and play full time whilst also continuing their education with our education partners on either the College or Higher education pathway.
We have designed everything about the football academy to reflect a professional academy set up to give young players the opportunity to be ready to progress into the game.
Our Academy and scholarship programme has numerous links with professional and semi-professional clubs in the UK and Europe and since our formation we have seen several players go into semi-professional football and others trial at professional clubs in England and Scandinavia.

Pathways
COLLEGE PATHWAY (16 to 18)
DEGREE COURSE (18+)
Many of our students have moved on to University after completing the College Pathway. NEFA now offer undergraduate degrees, so players can remain with NEFA for their higher education if they wish to do so.
SEMI-PRO FOOTBALL (18+)
Several of the NEFA College Pathway students have gone on to play semi – professional football. The NEFA Directors have numerous links in this field and this is an option for players that show the commitment and ability to progress into this field. The English football pyramid is one of the strongest in world football and even at Division 11 of the pyramid players are earning income from playing the beautiful game.
PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL (18+)
For those players who are ready for the professional game can benefit from NEFA staff’s excellent network into the professional game..
Structure
Our College Pathway teams play in the National College League and also a supplementary games programme against professional and semi-professional teams. The Higher Education teams play a bespoke games programme, also against professional and semi-professional teams to accelerate the football development of our students.
Playing Philosophy
You will be coached eight hours a week by our coaching team and also receive a personalised development programme by our UEFA A or UEFA B Licenced Coaches.
Coaching
You will follow a specific playing philosophy designed to develop technical players making the maximum number of football actions in games that results in great individual performances and a winning team.
